About What's Biting FL
Built by a Florida angler who got tired of flipping between three apps, the FWC booklet and a tide chart. Every night this site pulls the FWC regulation pages, NOAA tides, National Weather Service forecasts and moon data, scores the bite for every species in every region, and writes a plain-English report for each area.
How the bite score works
Each species starts from a seasonal baseline for Florida. That baseline moves up or down with the moon phase, the size of the tide swing, wind speed, rain chance and temperature. It is a transparent estimate, not a guarantee, and it gets better as anglers share what they actually caught.
Regulations
Regulations shown here are extracted automatically from FWC and federal sources and can lag official changes. The Florida Wildlife Code and federal regulations are the final authority. Always confirm at MyFWC.com before you keep a fish.
