Redfish, flounder, and snook are the top three species for today. The strong tide swing of 2.6 feet will push bait and make these fish more active. Redfish and snook are open for harvest, but flounder is closed statewide, so any flounder you catch must be released.
The best fishing window is the early morning major solunar period from 2:31 to 4:31. This gets you on the water before the afternoon storms build. The high tide at 6:50 AM is another good time to target the inlets and bay edges.
Be cautious of thunderstorms today. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with northeast winds 12 to 18 mph and gusts up to 22 mph. Watch the sky and head in early if clouds start building.
