The top three species today are redfish, snook, and spotted seatrout. The strong 4.8 foot tide swing and the early morning high tide at 4:25 make this a solid window for redfish and snook around Marco Island and Chokoloskee. Spotted seatrout should also be active in the same areas as the water moves. Flounder season is closed statewide, so any you catch must be released.
The best fishing window is the major solunar period from 14:31 to 16:31. Weather looks mostly sunny with a high near 88, but there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3pm and 5pm, so keep an eye on the sky if you are heading out late.
Tip: Fish early before the storms build and use the strong outgoing tide to your advantage.
