Redfish, snook, and spotted seatrout are the top three species today. A strong tide swing of two feet and the waning gibbous moon make the inlets and lagoon edges productive. Flounder is also scoring high but harvest is closed statewide, so catch and release only. The best window is the afternoon major solunar period from 2:31 PM to 4:31 PM, lining up with the high tide at 1:13 PM. If you prefer an early start, the morning low tide at 6:20 AM is also a solid option. Watch the sky today. There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with northeast winds gusting to 25 mph. Tip: Fish early before the storms build and keep an eye on the radar.
